UN Day marks the anniversary of the entry into force in 1945 of the UN Charter. This year the UN celebrates 76 years. The UN in The Gambia joins with the global community to commemorate UN Day 2021.
The UN in The Gambia, through its agencies in partnership with the government of The Gambia have embarked on a process to work together on the most pressing issues, to cooperate on, in pursuit of making a difference in people’s lives.
Working together in partnership, the UN, the government and many partners focused on the most pressing challenges facing the Gambia, and what needs to be done to make a difference, bringing together the development-peace nexus.
The three priority areas which address some of the key critical challenges that The Gambia is facing include:
Governance, Economic Management and Human Rights
Human Capital Development
Sustainable Agriculture, Natural resources, Environment and Climate Change management
