UN salutes The Gambia's Landmark Decision to Maintain FGM Prohibition

BANJUL, 1 August 2024 – The United Nations in The Gambia commends His Excellency President of the Republic of The Gambia, Mr. Adama Barrow, the Government of The Gambia, the National Assembly, and the Gambian people for the resolute decision to uphold the prohibition of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).
