The Common Country Analysis process is a gateway to the new Cooperation Framework.
The Common Country Analysis process provides an opportunity for UN agencies in the country to come together with key national and international stakeholders to discuss national development challenges and common approaches before the development of the United Nations Sustainable Development Framework. It helps UN agencies to design coherent and complementary programmes, drawing upon each Agency’s expertise, resources and mandate, to achieve the development priorities of the country.
To initiate this process and in a bid to ensure no one is left behind, UNAIDS together with OHCHR and the Office of the Resident Coordinator coordinated and organized stakeholder consultations with key populations and members of The Gambia Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS. The discussions afforded them the opportunity to raise their issues and concerns and suggest recommendations to further improve their situation.
