WFP’s nutritious meals nurture healthy twins in URR

Motherhood can be stressful when one gives birth to malnourished babies especially to vulnerable households struggling to put food on the table.

WFP’s treatment of Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM) program provides hope and brings back the joy of motherhood. This was the case in the lives of the Bagadaji twins in Upper River Region (URR).  Haja Ceesay, mother of the twins said,

“My babies were underweight and unhealthy. Upon my frequent visits to the hospital, I was registered by the community nurses in Bagadaji, URR, to join the MAM Child program. I continued receiving nutritious food supply from the hospital and now my girls are healthy with a normal weight. My Husband and I thank WFP for their life-saving assistance to our twins.”
