Mentoring adolescent girls is vital in ensuring the realisation of their sexual and reproductive health and rights, promoting their smooth transition to adulthood and supporting them to realise their maximum potential. This is the objective of the UNFPA-supported #TYW4Girls mentorship programme by Think Young Women. Designed to cater to the needs of girls in various communities in The Gambia, the programme has graduated multiple cohorts of girls within the Greater Banjul Area. The initiative is currently being decentralised to reach girls in other parts of the country, starting with the Upper River and Central River Regions of The Gambia.
