500 health workers – including 100 staff and volunteers from the Tanka-Tanka Psychiatric Hospital – were trained across five days on infection prevention and control and psychosocial support. Similarly, IOM donated hygiene items and educational material to the psychiatric hospital, sensitizing its residents on COVID-19. Finally, drawing from their own migration experiences, returnees engaged community leaders in the West Coast Region on the importance of well-being during the pandemic.
